Preppy at the Patisserie

Unsponsored post, a craving from the past!

I’ve yet to taste a better Rainbow Cake anywhere in the world than at the deliciously decadent Belles Patisserie! It’s a sunny but chilly day in Cape Town today & the craving for a slice jolted my memory…
Looking back at my invitation to attend the launch of the Clearwater branch had left my mouth watering & I RSVPd quicker than you could say Oreo Cupcake!

The award winning Belles looked incredible – trademark chandeliers & classy decor, viennoiseries, cakes & sweet treats to satisfy everyone & even a skinny menu for the health conscious.
Now if you had to ask me what time is champagne time…we couldn’t be friends 😉 so I decided Id do a champagne breakfast whilst waiting for my fellow bloggers & I was thrilled to have been served a glass of one of my favorites – Krone.

A bubbly & warm welcome was received by all the guests to celebrate the opening of the Clearwater branch. The waiters were full of smiles & even stopped to pose for pics whilst carrying trays of creamy cappuccinos & following these by delicious winter soups to keep the chill away.
We were treated to trays of snacks from artisan breads to prawn skewers & of course no meal is complete without dessert!
Chocolate & raspberries treats had me in my element!!!

The sweet got even sweeter when Mr South Africa, Armand du Plessis graced us with his presence! Such a incredibly friendly & humble human, making a difference with his support for Deskbags – have a look at his website & see if you can help too!

Until next time…they say summer bodies are made in winter, so I suggest a balanced diet – have a cupcake in each hand 😉
